As a VA, how do I charge for my time?

When people find out that I am a VA, they often ask me how I charge for my time. I have always had a standard hourly rate but knew that I wanted to be able to offer retainer packages for ongoing clients too.

Well, to be honest, its taken some time for me to create these packages, however they are finally ready and will be going live on the website soon.

One of the aspects I struggled with was to create a price point that reflected my wealth of experience and expertise, as well as covering my own business costs. It can be really tricky to come up with these on your own so my advice is to use a business coach to help you (as I did!)

I have created 6 packages to cover a variety of tasks and price points, with the lowest starting at £97 per month, and the highest at £1000. These packages cover the main core needs of my client base, from book keeping and emails to data input and diary management.

As well as these packages I also decided to create a set of bespoke elements that can be added to a package or completed as a stand alone task.

These include:-

Canva/Powerpoint Presentations, Social Media posting, CRM System, Personal PA Support, Invoicing, Organising events, Travel Management, Email Marketing, Project Handling/Communication

I also decided to offer a full business audit and bespoke package creation tailored to suit your business, for clients who have specific business needs.
